THERMAL IMAGING
Thermal Imaging is a service provided by Athenry Electrical which is non intrusive and allows customers to test their equipment under stress to ensure it is working within its limits. By identifying potential issues like overheating, loose connections or overloaded circuits before they cause problems, we can help prevent equipment failures and safety hazards.
Engaging a professional thermal imaging service provider can significantly enhance the reliability and safety of your electrical systems. Most companies sign up to a yearly maintenance programme but in some cases where the plant is hard working or the product is of a highly combustible nature, this can be often as little as 3 or 6 months.
In recent years Thermal Imaging has become very popular with property owners looking to identify stress points and future problems with their electrical equipment, before they become a serious issue. A property owner that undergoes this sort of preventive maintenance may likely be looked at more favourably when it comes to assessing premiums as they may rate the installation as standard rather than loading premiums despite the age of the wiring.
The Thermal Imaging camera itself is very sensitive so it is important to Athenry Electrical that the camera itself is calibrated annually along with the electrician responsible for carrying out the analysis has achieved Level 1 certification in the intricate workings of this valuable piece of equipment. The calibration and training certification will also provide validity for the insurance company. And for that matter HSWA 2015.
The camera is very accurate and the information provided not only records possible terminal issues with colour graphics but can also deliver comparative data on which to base future maintenance inspections.
FIXED WIRED GAS AND DETECTION
Fixed wired gas detection systems are critical for ensuring safety in environments where there may be the potential presence of gases that could pose serious risks to health, safety and property. These systems are designed to detect various gases (such as methane, propane, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide) in industrial facilities, commercial buildings, laboratories and other locations where gas leaks are a concern.
Fixed gas detectors monitor your production locations, warehouses and workplaces and warns you against imminent gas hazards and flames.
IQP Certification
Emergency lighting is a specified system that must be regularly inspected, maintained and certified to ensure it functions correctly during an emergency, such as a power outage or fire.
IQP (Independent Qualified Person) certification services aim to ensure that the emergency lighting systems in buildings comply with the Building Act 2004 and relevant building codes and standards. This is crucial for protecting occupants and ensuring safe evacuation during emergencies.
APPLIANCE TESTING AND TAGGING
Testing and tagging electrical appliances, extention leads or any plug in portable electrical appliance is one useful way to check electrical equipment is safe. It’s not mandatory but what is legally required is that equipment is electrically safe and maintained in a safe condition as per the HSWA 2015. One way to verify the safety of appliances that owners make available to their employees, contractors or are hired out, is to have the appliances tested and tagged in accordance with standard AS/NZS 3760.
At Athenry Elecrical we have a specific inhouse competency training to ensure the test and tag is competently achieved. This also ensure the customer received timely records.
